Es ist ein Wetter zum Schlafen. Während ich die fallenden Regentropfen beobachte, merkte ich, wie meine Augen schwerer und schwerer wurden. Ich zwang mich selbst, mich zum Ausstellungsraum zu schleppen.
Fünf Gemälde von 2015 und ein Gemälde von 2014 werden in der Ausstellung von Rosilene Luduvicos "Magnetic Lights" in Köln gezeigt.
Es scheint als zeigten ihre Bilder den Baum und sein Wesen unter allen jahreszeitlichen Veränderungen, zu jeder Zeit des Tages, und der ihn umgebenden Atmosphäre. Nur wenige Linien stellen die Zweige dar, aber sie verkörpern das Wesen der Zweige, ihre Kurven, Drehungen, Ausbreitung von einem Ende zum anderen, ihre Vereinzelung. Als ob ein Pinselstrich alles zerstören könnte, als ob die eine Farbe die andere hervorbringe, sind sie mit einer solchen Konzentration und Sorgfalt ausgeführt, so dass es scheint, daß jede Harmonie oder jeder Kontrast zwischen ihnen in Beziehung zueinander stünden.
Es war wie der Blick auf ein Aktbild, bei dem nur ein Arm des Modells zu sehen ist. Trotzdem entsteht ein Gesamteindruck vom Körper des Modells, denn der wird nur von Luft und Licht verdeckt. Lebewesen in der Natur haben wie Aktmodelle keine Kleider, sie sind nur eingehüllt in Licht und Luft.
Die Ausstellung war so spannend und so von Licht erfüllt, dass sie mich dieses düstere Wetter vergessen ließ.

It's a sleepy weather indeed.
while i was watching rain drops falling down, i found my eyes getting heavier.
Forcing me to put myself up, I dragged myself to the exhibition place.
Five paintings from 2015 and one painting from 2014 are presented in the exhibition of Rosilene Ludovicos "Magnetic Lights" in Cologne.
Her paintings seem to depict the tree and its essence under all the seasonal changes, any time of the day and the atmosphere surrounding it.
Just few lines represented branches, however they are embodying various features of the branches like curves, twists, spreading out from one end to the other, separating.
As if one brush marks can ruin every thing, as if the colours are developing from one to another,
they are executed with such a concentration and care, that any harmony or any contrast between them
seems to have relationship to each other.
It was like looking at a nude painting, in which just one arm of the nude model is to see.
However it delivers whole emotions of the model's body, cause her body is covered only by air and light.
Nude models and creatures in nature have no clothes on them, but the light and air.
The exhibition was thrilling enough and was filled with light, so that it made me forget this gloomy weather.

창밖에는 비가 툭툭 떨어지고 있는 데, 이를 보고 있는 사이 어느새 눈이
스르르 감겨왔다. 감겨오는 눈을 억지로 떠가며,
겨우 전시장으로 발걸음을 떼었다.
로잘린 루도비코의 2015년 작품 다섯 점과 2014년 작품 한 점이 보여지는
이번 전시는 공기, 햇살이 다른 한 낮의, 오전 중의, 오후 햇살이 점점 구름에
가려올 때즈음의 시간등, 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울 이 모든 계절의 기운들에 따라
변하는 나무의 모습을, 나무라는 어떤 자연안의 존재를 담아내고 있는 듯했다.
나뭇가지 하나 하나의 구부러짐과 뻗어나옴, 그 끝과 시작, 중간의 연결에 집중한 듯,
아니 붓질 한 번 한 번에, 이 색과 저색의 조화와 충돌에 온 신경을 다 곤두세운 듯,
묘사된 나무의 모습은,
흡사 살결 하나하나의, 땀 구멍 하나하나의 떨림이 느껴질 만큼
섬세한 관찰을 통해 그려진, 어느 누드 모델의 팔 한 부분을 보고 있는 듯했다.
단지 누드 모델의 팔 한 부분이지만, 누드로 서 있어, 그 몸과 자세에서 오는
긴장감이 다 전해지는...
누드 모델은, 혹은 자연에서 그대로 빛을 받고 있는 동식물들은,
옷이 아닌, 공기와 햇살에 의해 감싸져, 그 느낌을 그대로 몸으로 전달하고 있는 것이
아닐까 하는 생각이 들었다.
이 축축하고 우중충한 날씨와 나른함을 잊게 할 만큼, 빛과 은밀한 긴장감으로
가득한 전시였다.
